"Help!" I screamed. Grunting loudly, two enormous men dragged me out of the tomb. How could they have thought I was a tomb raider? Where am I, you ask? I'll give you a hint: Sneferu. You know, the Pharaoh famous for the bent pyramid. I went to go find the long lost tomb of Sneferu this morning. Some archaeologists think that his tomb is hidden inside the Red Pyramid. So I started there. On one side of the pyramid was a door concealed by a bush. I couldn't believe my luck! It slid open to reveal a dark moist passage.Nervously, I stepped inside. The door slammed shut behind me. So much for getting out. I walked for miles under ground, but after awhile I lost all hope of ever getting out. Then the passage got really narrow, but I squeezed through. Gasping, I entered a room filled with gold and jewels. In the center of the room, a large sarcophagus sat on an alter. Snefru's Mummy! I took a step forward, and promptly my foot sank into the sand. Soon my whole body was covered. Gasping for breath, my head slipped beneath the sand. Suddenly, I crashed through the floor and into the arms of the 2 charming men I mentioned earlier.
So here I am. I started screaming again. One of the guards put a filthy hand over my mouth. I tasted blood as my teeth sunk into his beefy hand. He released me in surprise and I made a mad dash for the nearest tunnel. Turning madly, I tripped my way through the passage. After awhile the men's heavy footsteps died away. Scrambling wildly, I made one last feeble turn, and was greeted by sunlight.
Glad you found his tomb. Always remember: most tombs have traps!
