I stared up at the Pharaoh's face, paralyzed with excitement. He started talking in ancient Egyptian. "Hello, my name is Khufu, and I'm the Pharaoh." he stated with importance. "Sorry about the shouting earlier. My vizier and I weren't expecting visitors." I could only stutter in response. Khufu guided me into his palace and showed me an ornately furnished room. "You must be tired. This we be your room." Khufu said. "In the morning I will show you my pyramids. They're not finished yet, but I'm sure you'll find them quiet amazing". and with a flourish he shut the door and was gone. The bed sagged as I collapsed. Khufu was right, I was exhausted. With a sigh, my eyelids drooped.
I jerked awake. There was a loud knock on my door. "Miss, miss, the Pharaoh is waiting" a shrill voice chirped. A maid stepped into the room and handed me some clean clothes. I quikly threw on the clothes and stepped into the blinding sunlight. Khufu stood in front of me. I couldn't believe that I was about to see Khufu's most famous achievement. As a ruler from 2589 BCE to 2566 BCE, Khufu had had many.He would spend 20 years working on the Pyramid, and it would stand for thousands of years. But he didn't know that yet. I was so deep in thought, and I didn't notice the scenery changing around me. Men were hauling heavy stones up long ramps.I gasped. Above me was one of the wonders of the ancient world. The Great Pyramid.
I never imagined khufu nice but I guess he could be.
