M7: Vacation

I scrubbed my last dish of the day and sighed. My body collapsed on  the straw bed. All of a sudden my TTI cell phone buzzed. Making sure no one was watching, I snapped it open and listened.
"Hello Sarah Jones." a computerized voice snapped. "You have been allotted 2 weeks vacation time. You may go anywhere in time. See you in 2 weeks."
I gasped excitedly. I knew exactly where to go.
Pushing open the heavy wooden door, I walked into the Greek sunlight and unlocked my bike. I pedaled furiously and landed in cushy green grass. Ginormous buildings loomed in front of me. I could hear the clicking of heels on the cobblestone pavement. The sky was speckled with wispy clouds.. The gears on my bike blinked: Paris, France, spring 2011. I rolled my bike along the pavement. Ahh, modern times. The street was bustling with people. After walking for a while, I could see my destination looming up ahead. The Eiffel Tower. Built in 1889, this iron lattice building is the tallest in France at 1063 feet. I went inside and started climbing the 600 stairs to the top.
When I did reach it, the view was well worth it. I could see all of Paris. Leaning over the railing, I squinted at the people below. All of a sudden I slipped and started plummeting to certain death. My hand groped for something to grasp. I screamed in relief as my hand reached a beam. Below me, firemen held a giant trampoline. "Let go." one bellowed into a megaphone. Taking a shaky breath, I uncurled my fingers. I couldn't resist giving one more shriek as I landed with a bounce. I'm safe.... for now.
